You are not really supposed to do that. you can cause other kinds of problems doing that. She really needs to go see a doctor to get something for it. If she’s resistant to that, just go to the drugstore and get some over the counter stuff.

Boiling water works well. Gasoline and matches work even better.

umm i learned about this in bio and she’s not supposed to insert the yogurt she’s supposed to eat yogurt while she is on antibiotics to treat the yest infection because those antibiotics kill good bacteria one’s body needs to function therefore so eating yogurt while on antibiotics keeps good bacteria in her body…

thats not a good idea..more like a messy one.
yogurt is used as a preventative measure against yeast inf not a treatment. you should eat yogurt daily to PREVENT them not to treat them. the yogurt w/ live cultures is best. (i know yoplait has them)
use OTC monistat and if she is preg only insert the applicator 1/2 way. and use the 7 day treatment not the 1 or 3 day.
if she doesnt like that idea and she is NOT preg. she can take diflucan (a pill she takes only once) and w/ in 24 hrs it is usually gone

It’s normal for antibiotics to cause yeast infections that’s why doctors don’t give you the meds to fix it until after they have fixed what the antibiotics are for.

Putting yogert into a vagina is not only an old wifestale its not a good thing to do it will create other infections.

However if she eats yogert, any kind, it will fend off future yeast infections and probably help get rid of the one she has faster.

She should go to the pharmacy and get the one day cure for it, monistat has a 1 , 3 & 7 day medication for it. It’s messy but works.

Your girlfriend needs to get use to yeast infections, unfortunately its par for the course for woman, some get them every time they have sex and their menstral cycle.

If she is adement about not using meds, there is another method, she can clean herself out using warm water and white vinagar in a douche because a yeast infection is a chemical imbalance and the white vinagar puts the acid back in and balances things again.

Basically the rule of thumb is one cap full of white vinagar with alot of warm water, if she uses too much vinagar it won’t hurt her but will sting.

If she does that for a few days it will clear the yeast infection. I use to get them almost every week and the doctor told me that trick it worked for me for many many years. Luckily I don’t have them any longer, thats one of the good things about menapause.

Putting yogurt into the vagina will make it worse, and if she is lucky, all it will do is make the yeast infection worse.

The yogurt itself will feed the yeast and the bacteria in to are not anti-fungal, they are bacteria. Beneficial bacteria, but will not kill the yeast.

You need to EAT yogurt, go help build up the beneficial bacteria in your own body to help prevent this from happening. Once there is an issue yogurt pills (concentrated) are a better bet for maximum help. However, that does not replace seeing a doctor and having it treated properly.

If she is willing to treat it with putting goop in her vagina, why no just use the right stuff?

Tell her to have it checked. Many woman can confuse a yeast infection with another infection and it won’t get better.

Oh yes, nearly forgot. Men get yeast infections too. If you have had sex with her since she has had this infection and you didn’t use a condom, you need to treat yourself as well. Most men have no symptoms but can re-infect their girlfriends. There are creams at the pharmancy, anti-fungals, something to treat athletes foot. Micatin, or something close to that is good. Use as directed.

plain yogurt, NO FLAVOR!! put it on a tampon and insert

  8. infomaniac says:

Yogurt inserted in the vagina is only harmful because the sugar in the milk can also help to aggravate the infection.

Another option is to take acidophilus tablets which can be found at any drug store. Live acidophilus culture is what is found in yogurt anyway.

I usually try a double whammy approach with my yeast infections. I peel a clove of garlic and insert it in my vagina for about 2 hours. you can also wrap a thin piece of gauze around it and attach a string to it for easy removal if you are not comfortable searching for it. I do this for about a week. At the same time, I take two acidophilus capsules per day.

That works for me but not all methods work for all people.

Personally I would recommend this, it worked for me:

Although it isn’t the cure for the common cold, many people certainly hail the benefits of this remedy as being heaven sent. As a relief from the burning, itching, rash, and vaginal discharge, yogurt yeast infections remedies are the number one thing on many people’s minds.

It can be messy, it can drip, and it can feel downright silly and maybe even naughty to be doing this, but to the tens of thousands of yeast infections sufferers yogurt it is the one thing that can stop them from going over the edge.

There are of course other remedies that will work on yeast infections, and raw garlic clove suppositories is one of them, but most people will first try their hand at one of the methods of the yogurt yeast infections cure.
You really don’t need to pay for any commercial creams. Over a lifetime you can spend hundreds on them. Why do that when a natural cure is better for you and if you are pregnant your unborn child?
