Question: can a cat lose their hearing from a yeast infection?
my cat had one of the worst cases of yeast infections he ever saw could she lose her hearing from it?

No a yeast infection does not affect hearing. What makes you think she has a yeast infection?

    Yeast infections can cause hearing loss. An extract from pet learning centre web site:

    “if your cat is suffering from an ear infection, prompt and appropriate treatment is important in order to prevent any permanent damage to the ears and to put an end to your pet’s distress. For this reason, it’s helpful to know what some of the common signs of feline ear infections are so that you, as a pet owner, can quickly recognize the symptoms and have your cat examined by a veterinarian before the infection becomes severe.”

    This might be good advice to follow. Although yeast infections in cats affecting the ears is not common ( certainly it is much more common in dogs) – more common in cats is ear mites. Symptoms are similar scratching etc – mites will show up if you gently wipe the inside of the ear with a damp tissue. If it come out with black reddish grunge – ear mites. Easily treated with fleas drops like revolution as they treat ear mites too
