Question: Home cure for oral thrush?

Best answer:

Answer by You might be right
I don’t get thrush, so I haven’t tried this, but just guessing I would think colloidal silver might work, or golden seal extract. If for a baby, I know the stuff from the hospital works, but they charged about 0 for a tiny bottle and that was with insurance, but it did work, I don’t know about substitute for a baby, you have to be careful with babies and know what you are doing.

“You may be right” may be right in certain situations (only for adults, though)… but a faster and better option that’s also safe for infants would be Probiotics (the beneficial bacteria in your system that help to keep the bad bacteria at bay).
You could eat more yogurt or kefir if you’d just want to get food sources of Probiotics or you could buy a Probiotic in a pill form and either swallow the pill (which may take longer) and/or open the pill (make sure it’s not an enteric coated one if you do this), mix it with a little water so it’s runny, and swish it in your mouth for a while every day. If it’s for you, I would go for one with 30+ billion viable organisms from several strains. In addition to Probiotics, Caprylic Acid and Grapefruit Seed Extract also help to fight yeast growth directly, so those three together are a very good combination to fight yeast infections (oral or otherwise). Once you’re over the infection, you could go down to a maintenance dose with 3-5 strains and 4-6 billion organisms daily to keep it away.
If it’s for a child or an infant, check for children’s Probiotics in your local health food store as they will have ones specifically designed for children and infants that are the strains and quantities that they need.

Most of the cases I’ve heard of that used regimens like these showed an impact within just a few days (where they noticed some benefits) and were often almost completely gone within a month or so, but some more extreme cases took longer. Good luck and I hope I helped!

    Coconut oil
Oil of oregano (mix with water and swish in your mouth before swallowing)
    Probiotics
    Avoid sugar
Extra fibre may be helpful too, maybe take psyllium husks?
