Question: How long do I need to move before having sex after taking diflucan to cure yeast infection?
I’m suffering from a yeast infection, I’ve tried to treat it with the over the counter monistat, it relieved most of the symptoms but they came back a few days later. My physician prescribed me the one dose of diflucan, if I take it this day how long will it take to cure my yeast infection? and how long should I move before having sex?

Diflucan takes about 2 days for you to feel releif, and you should be cured by the day 3.

From individualized experience, I would advise you to move until day 5 (after taking the pill) before sex.

First answer is good. Keep in mind guys can get and spread yeast infections, so it will be considerate if you have the guy wear a condom for like even up to a week after you and him resume sex, just so he doesn’t get it and give it back to you.

The partner needs to be treated because he has it too.
He will continue to reinfect you if he isn’t treated.

It should say on the box, but I think its 3 days.
