Question: How long does clortrimazole take to work on oral thrush? Details available?
I came down with oral thrush as a result of a medication I am on that lowers the immune system. I started taking clortrimazole about 30 hrs ago, each 5 hrs. Should I be feeling/seeing improvement by now? I am miserable and hungry. The pain is totally unbearable.

P.s: Yes, I have been to the physician already. That’s how I got the Rx.

It says several days, whatever that would mean.

How long does this medicine take to work?
    Skin:
Your child may start feeling better 1 week after starting this medicine.
It may take 1 month to see the full effect.
    Oral:
Your child may start feeling better several days after starting this medicine.

You might not like this idea but they have some baby foods that are kind of tasty and they go down easy. The fruits might not be good until you get a little better.
