If you have vaginal thrush you can bathe the area with live plain yogurt or with rooibosh tea. Take acidphilus either as yogurt or tablets. For any yeast overgrowth cut out all sugars from your diet, and also cut out anything with any yeast – marmite, beers, grapes and other fruits that have yeasts on the skin. It might also help to cut out dairy. You might have to keep this up for several months but it will work eventually as you starve the yeast of anything that will nourish it.

Acidophilus (probiotics). They fight yeast from the inside. It worked for my baby.
Yeast feeds on sugar. Stay away from sweets for a while. (That means sweet yogurt loaded with sugar won’t work. Go with plain yogurt for its benefits. It tastes lame but you wanted natural remedies)
Too much won’t do you any good. Do like a cup of plain yogurt a day. Boost your immune system by eating healthy. Veges and fruits, meat, carbs.. No junk food.

If you’re a female and its infection involving down there.. cleanse area with warm water only twice a day. Do not douche. Abstain from sexual activities. Exercise. Not that it cures YI directly but it’ll get your blood flowing and renewing, flushing out the toxins from your body.

    Hope you get better !

Assuming we are talking about local yeast infections (i.e. vaginal yeast infections) anti-fungals work really well.

In the past I have recommended applying natural live yogurt locally, but the evidence base for it is very weak. And ingesting it will do absolutely nothing BTW.

You are better off with a topical anti-fungal cream and pessaries which contain clotrimazole or if you don’t like the idea of that, there on a one of tablet you can take such as Fluconazole.

    i have treated hundreds.

firstly, cut all dairy from your system (at least for now), no refined sugars or fried food either. oh, and anything fermented (like beer, or alcohol) should be discontinued.

a probiotic should be placed in your vagina in the morning and at night, try to get one that is at least a 5 billion count. i like this brand for several reasons:

here is what is going to really wipe it out, get your hands on some yin-care ( and make sure you get an applicator. you will use this as a deuce at least 2 times a day and at least an hour before you use the probiotic.

If this has been a chronic condition you may want to consider taking this formula along with this and also keep te mention foods out of your diet for good.. or at least a good 3-6 months after the infection is gone.

the above recommendations should work with only one bottle of each. by the time you use them up, everything should be feeling pretty fresh again.

I know it seems like a lot, but it will work. and yes, maybe one would work by itself, but generally speaking that’s what i do in my clinic.

    good luck to you!

There are effective natural cures for yeast infections available that can help to soothe the discomfort and frustration of a yeast infection and other symtoms of thrush, resolving the infection without the use of prescriptions and OTC drugs. They contain ingredients such as Cymbopogon citratus (Lemon grass), Calendula officinalis, and Tabebuia impetiginosa (Pau d’arco bark). All have antibacterial and antifungal properties that effectively remove toxins and help to support the overall natural maintenance systems in the body.

Natural treatment for vaginal thrush has proven to be effective as well for relieving the pain and discomfort of candidiasis and for controlling candida overgrowth. There are many herbs with anti-fungal properties which may be used topically or internally to deal with the problem.

Apart from treating the fungal overgrowth itself, herbal remedies can also help to improve immune system strength, thereby helping to protect the body against future attacks. Herbal and homeopathic treatments are not only safe and effective to use, but also non-addictive without any side effects.
