    Applying plain yogurt to the affected areas is a long-standing home remedy. If after a few days, it’s not resolving, get some Monistat (or generic store equivalent) or call your doctor for a prescription for oral Diflucan.

    This worked for friends & family: take any brand probiotic capsules/pills three times a day, (w/ @ least 10 billion live bacteria count), for @ least 14 days, then decrease to 2 x day, for 2 wks, then 1 a day x “however long u wanna feel better”; eat yogurt @ least twice a day;
    Others swear by garlic, 3 to 5 crushed cloves a day;
    my coworker, homeopathic queen, puts tea tree oil on her day-pad, or cotton underwear, & states she is cured in avg. 5 day-time, (use that w/ caution, can irritate);
    cranberry juice, grapefruit juice works wonders to keep ur urinary tract clean, (w/ yeast infection, u can irritate entire vaginal/vulvular region, even ur anus can become affected, making it more open to bacterial infections);
    AVOID, (like fire), anything containing excess sugar: soda, candy, cakes, (that includes white rice, white bread, plain pasta — eat whole wheat instead); I was told 2 also avoid anything w/ yeast: beer, donuts, bread, etc…;
    get better!

    No home remedy has worked for me, garlic, tree tea oil, eating unsweetened yogurt, smearing unsweetened yogurt on a pad, taking probiotics.

    Different types of infections:

    Signs of yeast infections:
    White, cottage cheese-like discharge
    Swelling and pain around the vulva
    Intense itching
    Monistat over-the-counter or see your doctor.

    Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
    A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
    A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
    Itching or burning
    Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva
    See your doctor.

    Someone recently told me that Grapefruit Extract Drops in water works, but I’ve never tired it. She got it from her Chiropractor.

    and if you have yeast infection then you must get rid of it as soon as it is possible!!!

    if you really want to get rid of yeast infection forever then you must follow these tips:

    1) Eat yogurt!!!! It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and bifidus) that destroy yeast. Use only plain yogurt with active cultures.

    2) Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.

    3) Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.

    4) Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent.

    5) Try gentian violet. It’s a traditional remedy for yeast and other infections, and can be found in pharmacies. Swab the area with it once or twice a day. Make sure to use a thick pad – it stains everything.

    6) Use an herbal douche. Combine equal amounts of sage, raspberry and comfrey with 1/4 part goldenseal. This can be combined with cider vinegar.

    7) You must use herbal treatment. In that case Yeastrol is really good (probably the best) product that gets rid of yeast infection comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that it wont reappear again!
    And of course it is better if you use full course (5 months – if I remember correctly). For me it worked very fast + I dont get yeast infections anymore…

    I do not know if any pharmacies carry Yeastrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.yeastrol.com/?aid=221781

    good luck!

    Hi here are some remedies that have worked for me, as a woman. Most, if not all, of these can be adapted for a man, as well.

    YEAST INFECTION home remedies:
    - Plain yogurt
    you can dip a tampon in plain yogurt and insert it into your vagina or simply rub some on the outside. I have found, however, that leaving it on for a prolonged period tends to have the opposite effect. It seems that once it has done its job, it is best to wipe it off or you will feel itchier due to the moisture.

    - Water
    In my opinion, this is one of the world’s most powerful, secret remedies for any illness! I strongly believe that if we all drank the amount of water our bodies need, we would see a great reduction in all types of sicknesses.

    Most doctors say that we should drink at least eight 8-oz. glasses of water daily, but many people need even more than that.

    Thanks to http://candidaquestions.probacto.com for giving me the knowledge. Hope I was able to help on my little way.
