Question: Medical Experts Please: My husband has systemic fungal (or candida) infection what to do?
His MD gives him clotrimazole and betamethasone for the bad athelete’s foot and under his man boobs.
And for hsi entire body itchy rash he has 2% Nizoral antifungal hair/body wash to use twice a week.
He is intake mostly vegetables.

His entire body has itchy rash two weeks and pale stool (light brown). CBC, CMP, UA, liver, thyroid tests are ok. He never did a stool sample test. They are hesitant to give oral Nystatin because fungus can become resistant to it. He can’t sleep and itches all the time and wakes with burning skin (maybe from itching or meds). What can he do?
When I give him healthy yogurt bacteria or grapefruit seed extract he feels ill and smells like bread yeast…is this candida die off?

Nothing in your question indicates a systemic fungal infection.

For the skin, think about a dermatologist.

An infectious disease specialist might be an option.

There are a LOT of other antifungal meds available.
