Question: My 2 yr old has a yeast infection and the physician told me I could place monistate 7 on her externally only?
But he failed to mention how much and how often. Does anyone know. I don’t want to over do it. It would be very helpful. Thank You
P.S. It was caused from her antibiotics.

Once a day, and cover the inner lips with a thin coat

Just a thin coat or layer. Nistatin works also. It is better for babies. It is what i used when my daughter used to get them around her tracheotomy and chin when she was little. Luckily it has been a very long time since we had it around her tracheotomy or anywhere.
Just cover the yeast bumps with it. if you think you put on to much use a diaper wipe and wipe it gently off or dab it.

It should say on the tube. As far as I know, its a max of twice a day for 7 days.

Try acidophilis (Spelling might be off, but close enough), it is in yogurt, but you can buy it capsule form at most drug stores or like GNC. Make sure it is capsule so that you can open it and put in her food or milk. I live in TX and our grocery store HEB sell it in the health food section in powder form too. Keep it refrigerated after opening. I always give it to my son when he is on antibiotics and he doesnt get the Big D when I do, nor the diaper rash. you can also put the powder directly on the rash. IT is completely safe and you cant overdose on it. It also works better then the thrush med they give you. My son had thrush for a month and couldnt get rid of it with the prescription, but then some one told me about acidophillis and it worked in 2 days. I have also used mens jock inch cream, But the acidophillis should work! Hope this helps, let me know!
