Personally I think Iams is good my friends dogs love it! It is veterinarian recommended and it has all the flavors that dogs like. It is nutritious and it has lots of different kinds that dogs love. There is even like certain kinds for all the different dog stages puppies, ect. So I think Iams is the best.

Science Diet and Iams are GARBAGE!!! Royal Canin is a good food, but it is not the best for every dog, and very overpriced. Cockers are genetically predisosed to skin issues, ear infections, yeast problems, and allergies- which makes it even more crucial to stay away from the brands that contain ANY if the following: Wheat (#1 culprit for food allergies/sensitivities) Corn, Soy, by-products, unspecified animal fats, and surags. Oatmeal, Barley, Brown Rice (as long as there are no more than 2 forms listed) are OK. My personal favorites, which my dogs have rotated on for years, are Merrick and Innova. Both are holistic, US sourced and Manufactured (except 4 lamb, they are healthier in New Zealand) and Acai berris-they are grown in South America. ALSO- Always make sure that whatever meat is listed is also followed by a meat meal. (ie- Turkey, turkey meal) It takes 4 cups of meat to make 1 cup of meat meal. If not followed by the meal, it will drop from ,say, thje 1st ingredient down to about ingredients 5 after cooking. No matter what process they use to cook their foods.

Of those you listed, only James Wellbeloved is worth feeding. The ones that I think are the best are not available in the UK, which is where I assume you are located. Other good ones available to you include fish4dogs and Burns.

  6. Robert says:

None of those you listed are quality foods. Try Blue Buffalo, Wellness, Innova, Solid Gold or Taste of the Wild
