Question about Thrush Mufflers?

April 18th, 2011 by Emily

Question: Question about Thrush Mufflers?
I was planning on throwing a thrush muffler on my Grand Prix and Ive heard rumor that they rob your HP an MPG.
True, False?
And also which would be superior for my car. The regular Turbo Series, or the Hush Thrush Turbo?

Thanks, Kev.

There will be no difference in performance or MPG from stock. The Hush series has a nice mellow sound where the turbo series is louder. I would state the Hush is the one to use. A tiny noisier than stock, but not stupid loud.

No muffler by itself is going to make a huge difference at any speed you would normally be driving, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

false ,i got the hush thrush on one of my trucks and they don’t rob you of any horse power, their almost a strait through design so they can’t hurt it any but its not going to give you any more horse power,a muffler doesn’t add horse power only sound, good luck.
