Question: what are the symptoms of penile thrush?
After I have an erection my penis skin looks really wrinkled, dry and cracked nearly but after a while it goes back to normal, This gets far worse after I masturbate. Are these signs of thrush in the penis, but i’ve used anti fungal creams before and no success so far, so I was tempted to try some anti fungal tablets. Any advice?

Penile Thrush Symptoms

Symptoms of penile thrush vary, but the common signs are;

Red, sore spots on the head of the penis
Cottage cheese like material under the foreskin
Yeasty smell
Burning sensation
Cracked flaky skin on the outside of the penis including the shaft

As well as these symptoms, pulling the foreskin back might also cause a lot of pain due to the skin being sensitive underneath. When you place on a pair of tight pants under very hot and humid conditions, it would tend to exacerbate the condition as well. You need to be extra careful as penile thrush can even occur even there are no symptoms at all. You might be afflicted by the growth of Candida albicans and still exhibit no symptoms. Therefore, if your partner is seeking treatment for thrush(Candida), it is very likely that they will pass it on to you during sexual intercourse.
Penile Thrush can be treated with over-the-counter anti-fungal creams.
