yeast infections are caused sometimes by unsanitary environments, or improper hygeine… sometmes can be caused by antibiotics… but i dont think ur taking any. Just make sure you wash the area a lot with hot water several times a day and stay away from taking baths… because it makes it worse.

A yeast infection, also known as candidiasis, is the name for a common infection caused by a yeast called candida albicans. Candida yeasts are commonly present in most people, but uncontrolled multiplication resulting in disease symptoms occurs when there is a candida yeast overgrowth.

A weakened or undeveloped immune system or metabolic illnesses such as diabetes may predispose individuals to yeast infections. Candida can overgrow for many reasons. Stress, pregnancy, and illnesses that affect the immune system may allow yeast to multiply, as can certain medicines. These include some birth control pills and steroids. Or if you’re taking antibiotics, such as for strep throat, the antibiotics can kill “good” bacteria that also live in the body and normally keep the growth of candida in the vagina in check.

Symptoms include severe itching, burning, and soreness, irritation of the vagina and/or vulva, and a whitish or whitish-gray discharge, often with a curd-like appearance.

These are the 7 main signs of yeast infection:

    1) itching
    2) rash
    3) burning sensation, especially when urinating
    4) vaginal discharge
    5) pain during sexual intercourse
    6) redness and soreness of the irritated area
    7) swelling of the vulva

Essentially, the above are symptoms that could potentially affect your life. The itching can cause you much embarrassment and discomfort in the presence of others. Clearly, the burning sensation is an occurence that is not desirable, especially in the course of urination of even worse, during sexual intercourse.

Vaginal discharge could cause you embarrassment, depending on the scent and texture of it. The discharge could be:

    colourless and milky
    strong and pungent scent
    sulphuric or yeasty

With yeast infections, there is also a possibility of redness and soreness of the irritated area, which brings much discomfort to the genetalia.

You may want to try putting some plain yogurt “there” to see if you get relief. If it relieves some of the symptoms:

burning sensation, pain when urinating, discharge, sometimes a bad odor, it can be an indication that you have a yeast infection.

The causes of a yeast infection can be the use of antibiotics, too much moisture down there (not drying off very well after a shower for instance), and also eating a lot of sugary foods. In rare cases, it can sometimes be passed through sex from your partner.

There are several simple home remedies other than yogurt that can help cure a yeast infection. I would recommend visiting http://www.yeastinfectionhomeopathic.com for more information.
