Question: Why do Womens bathroom smell worse than mens?
I clean restrooms in three restaurants and have noticed that the womens bathrooms tends to have a very weird (non urine) heavy bad smell, and the mens has the well known urine smell, which is toleratable…But the weird odor in women’s restrooms nearly makes me faint, is it due to all the disposed tampons and pad in the bathrooms? OR some other period related issues?

I don’t think they do, I am pretty sure men’s bathrooms smell a lot like urine seeing as how your pretty much peeing on the floor with those urinal thingys.

Well, women are more prone to private health problems than men. Yeast infections, periods, discharge, smelly urine (due to infections), etc. Where you work expands the range of women who have these problems at the time.

Oh and I’m not saying periods are health issues. It’s just something that we have that probably causes the odor your smelling too.

Yes, it is, especially because the sanitary napkin boxes are changed once a day, max, and often not even that. Usually it is not at all what I would call overpowering, though, so you might be either unusually sensitive to it, or the restaurants you work at really need to do a better job at changing those boxes. You should change them everytime you clean the bathroom.

The dirty sanitary napkins does it. Old stale blood would do that!!
