Question: Will thrush cream and pessary effect condom reliability?
Okay so ive been on penicillin which has stopped my pill from working and now I’m using a pessary and cream for thrush caused by the penicillin – this effects the reliability of condoms as it reacts with them or something… Is this true? I want to know if it’s innocuous to have sex or not? Thanks

some creams are petroleum based and can/will break down the latex in a condom however if you are using a cream to treat the thrush i wouldn’t advocate having sex until the treatment has run it’s course bc sometimes having sex can irritate and help spread the issue… hope this helps
