Scam. There’s no way to permanently ensure never having a yeast infection ever again.
I don’t knwo about the book but my doctor recently put me on probiotics. I have to take a lot of anti-biotics and it causes yeast infections. He said that probiotics would help me a lot and also help calm my stomach due to the anti-biotics destroying the “good” bacteria that is in my stomach and intestines (the good bacteria dying is why you get yeast infections) Probiotics are available over the counter (I got mine at Kroger for $6). Don’t go for all the fancy ones- just a plain simple brand will do! I think the generic is called Acedophilus. It is working great for me so far!!! Yogurt is a help too, but the pill basically gives you the good bacterias of yogurt but in 1 teeny pill you take once daily.
If you get yeast infections a lot due to meds or whatever, there is also a prescription pill you can take (just one small pill usually once or at the most two times) to prevent and also clear up yeast infections. Can’t remember the name, but I’m sure you doctor would know.
Hope this helps!
I haven’t read the book, but honestly you can do tons of research on your own on the internet and probably find the same information that may be in the book.
Go to http://www.earthclinic.com click on ailments and then yeast infection. There are a list of natural home remedies there and tips from other women sufferers as well. I currently have a yeast infection and it has not been. Had for about 2 months and it’s slowly going away. I’ve tried monistat and diflucan and neither of those helped. In fact, it made it worse. I will tell you though that your eating habits have a direct link to yeast infections too. Avoid sugary foods and carbs because these feed yeasts and bacteria making it continue to grow. Eat nonfat, plain yogurt as it contains L.acidophilus, the good bacteria we need in our guts to keep yeasts and bacteria in check. You can also take acidophilus/probiotic supplements. Incorporate raw garlic into your diet or take garlic supplements with enteric coated tablets or capsules. My symptoms were burning sensation when peeing, mild to severe itching, vaginal swelling, and that nasty discharge. After changing my eating habits and incorporating different supplements I no longer have itching or burning, but still have the swelling and discharge. This is what I have been doing since the end of November after failed cream and antibiotics.
Eating plain, nonfat yogurt(make sure it has no added sugar and it contains L.acidophilus…read the labels
Building my immune system by taking Vitamins A,D, C, and Folic Acid
Taking garlic, grapefruit seed extract, echinacea/goldenseal herb supplements (these act as natural antibiotics because they have antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties
Absolutely limit your sugar and carb intake
As I said before, after a month i’m feeling great…all of this is based on weeks of research after finding out i had this. It’s not always a quick fix and antibiotics and creams are not always the answer, they temporarily solve the problem. You have to get to the root. Hope this helps!
Go to Amazon.com and read the reviews on the book. I’ve not read this one. However, I did read The Yeast Free Diet in my 20s and it really did help to follow the diet.
